BIOGRAPHY: |
|
| After completing medical school and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver, Dr. Bachus left Colorado to pursue Fellowship Training in Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Upon completing his fellowship, he remained on the faculty for four additional years and became Board Certified in Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology, in addition to certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology. While he enjoyed the academic setting, the lure to return "home" to Colorado ultimately proved to be too great. In 1995, he returned to Fort Collins and brought infertility treatment expertise to Northern Colorado. The in vitro fertilization (IVF) program was established in 1996 with immediate success involving the Center's first patient. Since then, with the embryology expertise brought to the Center by Dr. Olson, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and blastocyst embryo culture techniques were quickly brought to the Center, providing "state of the art" success to Fort Collins. In addition to gratifyingly successful "high-tech" options, the Center is proud of its success in other areas of infertility testing and treatment, including highly evolved experience in surgical techniques involving laparoscopy as well as tubal reversals. The return home has been very rewarding for Dr. Bachus and he looks forward to continuing to serve the patients of Northern Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, and Nebraska. |
